Jacob Rees (RB/LB) was selected from the 2020 Andover Central Jaguars Football team to participate in the 48th annual Kansas Shrine Bowl on Saturday, June 26, 2021, at 7 pm, at Gowens Stadium in Hutchinson, Kansas.
Defensively, Rees accumulated 169 tackles, playing in 33 games during his four years of varsity football. He had 80 solo tackles, one sack, three interceptions, and two forced fumbles.
In his junior and senior years, Rees rushed for 1169 yards on 198 carries, averaging 5.9 yards per carry and scoring 14 touchdowns. Those impressive numbers came even with splitting time at running back his junior and senior seasons. Rees also had 12 receptions out of the backfield for 107 yards. He was a starter at both running back and linebacker during his last two seasons for the Jaguars.
Rees plans to attend Wichita State University after winning the Wallace Scholarship for engineering for that institution.
